It’s full of parents like you! Who want the wind in their hair, fresh air and to pedal past the traffic. If you are thinking of buying or already have a cargo bike, come and join us! We are a supportive community who live nearby and we're full of helpful advice, whether it's how to customise your existing model to allow for your growing offspring, or you're right at the beginning of your cargo bike journey. Find out the nitty gritty, all the stuff the bloke in the bike shop won’t know; from the best rain covers to what to do when your kids argue!

We have WhatsApp groups for three different parts of London, join the one closest to you.

Cargos & Cakes Events

We host these around London, normally between March and October. Parents bring their cargo bikes (or their questions!) and we bring the cake. Think of it as a speed dating event between families who are thinking about buying a cargo bike, and families who have already taken the plunge! You’ll be able to test ride some different bikes and chat about how they are working for families. Find out first hand the answers to common questions like:

  • How much quicker is it than driving or public transport ?

(*Spoiler Alert* expect hours of your life back)

  • What are the most affordable options?

  • What’s the right model for your family ?

  • Can they carry all the kids stuff ?

(Yes, you can load them up - backpacks, sports kits , instruments- all covered!).

  • Where & how do families store their bikes?

  • How young can you start?

(There are baby seats for 2 month olds available).

Keep an eye on our social media or this blog to find out when we have more scheduled.
